"I noticed something in interesting when we first moved into our home in Milwaukie, Oregon, crows. If you’ve lived around crows your whole life, you may not find it quite as cool, but we did not.  As soon as I got settled and started to work on the flower bed, digging up weeds, I noticed a large black object flying near me, landing, and proceeding to dig alongside. This was the beginning of a very intimate friendship between me and yes, of course I’ve named him, Chavas, my crow.  He comes when I call him and he calls me to deliver the many crackers he likes, eating them right out of my hand. He also calls his family and neighbors, inviting them to join in the feast I provide. A true community outreach program going on here!"
