Moving to Portland in 2020, there were no homes available. We looked everywhere, but the shortage of affordable housing was evident.  Having a safety net of family, and finding a place to rent for a few months, we finally found our place to land.  As affordable housing continues to be a huge concern for a large population, I fully understand the number of homeless individuals that we now see.
