This painting is a response to the increasingly human-made world that we live in: cities, mechanization, social media, capitalism, etc. The painting counters the human-made with an abstracted representation of the natural world, while also being a human-made object. It's a reminder of what this world we live in is: sunlight and earth - nature - and that we are all part of this natural world.
