 "Small Islands of Contemplation" -  is a series born from a need for stillness in a stressful world. Each sculpture is a physical metaphor for finding inner peace amidst chaos, offering a moment of quiet refuge. The figures, with their steady, contemplative gazes, embody the power of reflection and the resilience required to maintain a steadiness of heart. This collection is a reminder that a safe, calm space can be found within ourselves, no matter how turbulent the world outside.
 
The pedestals used in this series are sourced from architectural salvage, each one carrying the unique narrative of its original, forgotten building. Many are marked with handwritten or metal numbers that identify their historical importance and location. By giving these weathered artifacts a new purpose, the work becomes a collaboration between past and present, a piece of art held aloft by the very history it honors.
