Other Ways of Seeing: from the Collection of Martha Banyas is a permanent space, housed inside the Imperfecta Gallery, that showcases and makes available pieces from the collection of prominent enamel and cloissoné artist Martha Banyas.

Known nationally for her work in metal arts and enameling and recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the national Enamelist Society, Banyas was a world traveler in constant pursuit of her art and a collector of artworks, artifacts, everyday objects, jewelry and textiles from Indonesia, South-East Asia and Eastern Europe.
Imperfecta's Other Ways of Seeing space rotates on a monthly basis a curated, exclusive selection of Martha's collectables, which include Ex Libris, Persian Miniatures, and ethnographic and tribal arts and crafts. Each monthly drop includes a variety of pieces with a shared theme.

August 2026 theme: WINGS

Martha's incredible eye for unusual, rare, and stunning items will continue its wondrous journey at the Imperfecta Gallery in collaboration with Martha's lifelong partner Michael Hoeye. To honor and continue celebrating the life of Martha Banyas, a portion of proceeds will be donated to causes that were close to her heart.
The space debuted on August 6, 2026 - followed by a talk by Michael Hoeye which covered Martha's trading history and the marvelous trading lessons she gleaned throughout her many travels.
