Richard Cutshall is a Mexican-American artist who works in the mediums of drawing/painting, printmaking, and sculpture. His vast exhibition record includes over 100 group and solo shows, both nationally and internationally. His work is included in numerous private and public collections throughout the country and internationally.

 

​Some of Richard’s earliest memories involve art and he vividly remembers drawing from an early age; using it as a way to understand the sometimes frightening aspects of the world around him. Today that use of art as a way of gaining understanding continues with Cutshall describing his work as “a kind of self-exorcism.”

 

Also a teacher with 30 years’ experience, Mr. Cutshall teaches at Mt Hood Community College and Chemeketa Community College.

 

Currently Richard resides in Portland, OR where he and his wife Jennifer, another fellow artist,  share their studios and home with one oversized Dantiff and two spoiled cats.
