Ksenia Shinkovskaya was born in Moscow in 1976 and graduated from the Moscow State University in 1999 and Moscow Architectural Institute in 2002.

In 2003, Shinkovskaya moved to Latvia, where she now lives permanently. Having started out as scientist and then designer, she gradually transitioned into art and textile sculpture, completing her professional studies at a number of art courses in Russia, Sweden, and Canada.

Member of the Latvian Textile Artists Association, Ksenia creates sculptures, objects and accessories from felt.
