HANDMADE MIXED MEDIA ART DOLL +  (frame not included)
My dolls are never smooth as I welcome imperfections and rough surfaces and often have loose hems, visible stitches, and sometimes the fabric or lace I use presents some irregularity. These are qualities to me and add value to the doll, the become her history.

"I can finally see you bees... I just needed to close my eyes". Two simple lines that encapsulate the inspiration behind this doll.
 
-  The body (NOT POSABLE) is made of needle felted white Corriedale top, over a wire armature to give it the right shape. 
 
-  Face, hands and feet  are sculpted with air dry clay, painted with acrylics  and chalks, finished with an imitational gold leaf and sealed with a matte  varnish.
 
- Outfit (sewn in and not removable): vintage fabrics, vintage lace.
 
- Decorative bee: metal, securely stitched  to the body.
 
 - A ring on the back allows it to be hung on the wall.
 
Like any piece of art please HANDLE WITH CARE, DO NOT WET/CLEAN/EXPOSE TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT OR HUMIDITY. 
 
PLEASE DO NOT BEND ARM AND LEGS AS I USED A STRONG, STIFFED WIRE AND YOU COULD DAMAGE THE AIR DRY CLAY OR BREAK THE WIRE.
