2 silver Shakudō and sliver circles attached to a wall to make a hollow form.  This is a reversable necklace with a handmade bone chain and Shakudōand silver handmade hook.

 

Sterling silver and  Shakudō, an exquisite metal alloy with a distinct reddish-black hue, holds a rich history that stretches back centuries in Japan. Its origins can be traced to the Edo period (1603-1868) when it emerged as a favored material in traditional Japanese crafts and decorative arts.

 

Shakudō, an exquisite metal alloy with a distinct reddish-black hue, holds a rich history that stretches back centuries in Japan. Its origins can be traced to the Edo period (1603-1868) when it emerged as a favored material in traditional Japanese crafts and decorative arts.  In terms of composition, Shakudō consists of approximately 4% to 10% gold and 90% to 96% copper.
