Turn on the volume while Brenda Lee sings her 1958 classic “Rockin’ Around” -- you are invited to create holiday ornaments that can be hung on a tree or in doorways, entryways, or hallways.

 

Christman? Hanukkah? Kwanzaa? Yule? Bodhi Day? Shōgatsu? You got it!

Krampus? Joulupukki? Saint Nicholas? Tió de Nadal? La Befana? Jólasveinar? Yup!

 

Up to you what you feel like celebrating and representing - go wild!  (that said, we will not accept misogynistic, racist, offensive or similars). 

 

Number of pieces:  each artist can submit up to 5 ornaments. 

Medium/Types: all accepted provided it is hand-made (incorporating existing mixed media elements is fine).

Size: each piece (3D or 2D) should fit in a 6x6x6 inches box (any size below that works).

Weight: each piece should be safely hung on a tree branch and be ready to hang. 

Price: must no exceed $200

Commissions: Gallery split is 50/50

PARTICIPATION

To secure your spot in this special (with an extravagantic curation!) show, please email the number of ornaments you wish to submit by August 15 at imperfecta@studioloi.xyz

 

DIGITAL image submissions by October 15 

All images in one single email as attachments (ZIP file ok) to imperfecta@studioloi.xyz  --  email subject line: Rockin’Around - Your Name

The filename of each submission MUST MATCH the decoration's title.

In the email body, include the information for each decoration as follows:

Please include in the email your e-payment details for PayPal, Venmo or Wise. 

 

ARTWORKS submission due October 29 

Each piece must be ready to hang with an included string. 

Please attach to the string/hook of each piece a removable tag with the same details you emailed us (name/title/medium;size/price).

Unsold Pieces

If unsold, works will remain available in our online gallery till the end of the year, after which they will be ready for pickup or shipped back.

If you wish to avoid return shipping charges, we will happily donate your unsold ornament(s) to a local non profit on your behalf.
