According to the Mayo Clinic, approximately one and six people will experience a major depressive episode at some point in their lifetime while 16 million adults each year suffer from clinical depression. As someone who knows the deep cloud looming, I use my work as a way to work through the many emotions that depression can bring. “Sitting on the edge of sunshine” comes from that place.
