15cm x 15cm x 5cm; Oil paint on wood; 2025
This piece imagines a dog as a quiet witness to an approaching storm. Dogs can sense changes in air pressure, sound, and energy long before humans notice anything is wrong, and that idea became the starting point for the work.
I’m interested in the space where beauty and threat exist together. Darkness here isn’t only frightening; it’s magnetic, mysterious, and charged with possibility. The dog feels part guardian, part omen, part companion... an animal tuned to invisible forces we barely understand.
The work invites viewers to linger in that uneasy pause before something happens, where wonder and dread feel almost inseparable.
