Death shapes life. But knowing that any moment might be the last can motivate rather than foster morbid fixation. Appreciating mortality means that life satisfaction is born from engaging with rather than denying something real. Dancing with death makes each day count.
“Death Aloft” depicts a modern psychopomp lurking on the outside of a skyscraper. The structure stands neither strong enough nor high enough to escape the inevitable— the one constant that does not discriminate. Visible yet blending in, death usually lives in our minds as an abstract, distant concern rather than incoming reality.
